Privacy-Conscious Measurement
A transparent plan for understanding how well the website works—without collecting more visitor information than we need.
Planned Measurements
These measures would help us improve navigation, content, product information and technical reliability. Reports should be aggregated wherever possible.
Privacy Safeguards
Useful statistics do not require a detailed personal profile of every visitor.
Only collect fields that answer a defined website-improvement question. Avoid names, email addresses and exact location in audience reports.
Use totals, ranges and trends wherever possible. Limit any visitor identifier and avoid storing a permanent cross-site identity.
Set a documented retention period, restrict access and delete detailed records when only longer-term summary information is needed.
Explain optional measurement before it begins and let visitors review or change the applicable choice through User Settings and Privacy.
Visitor Controls
The User Settings and Privacy page will remain the central place for the privacy statement, current measurement status and future preference controls.
